The Fairyland Trust return to Holt Hall this autumn with The Real Halloween. Packed with entertainment for all the family, The Real Halloween celebrates all that is magical about the authentic pre-plastic Halloween, and late autumn.

The Fairyland Trust return to Holt Hall this autumn with The Real Halloween. Packed with entertainment for all the family, The Real Halloween celebrates all that is magical about the authentic pre-plastic Halloween, and late autumn.

Throughout the weekend, children can take part in the charities ever-popular workshops including, Magic Wands, Witches Owls, Magic Broomsticks plus Witch Training and Wizard Training where children will learn about British birds and herbs, make a purse for their herbs, as well as learning how to mount and dismount their broomsticks, a flying lesson and how to cackle, all essential skills when becoming a good Witch or Wizard!

Other activities include the Witches' Kitchen, Bouncing Bats, Fairy Banquets and, Wildlife Hospital and of course children can make a jam jar lantern ahead of the parade.

The popular Halloween Games will also return this year and families can try their luck in Conker Championships, Eye Boules, Bonkers Conkers, Sugar Beet Shot Putt,Parsnip Skittles, Hook-a-sprout, Apple Bobbing, Butternut Squash Hoopla, Potato Juggling, Broomstick Pick-up Sticks and Root-Veg-Dodge.

Each day the event ends with the unique story of ‘The Real Halloween’ told by in the woods by candle-light, followed by an illuminated parade of animal lanterns and fire show.

Fire braziers, live music, storytelling, craft market, food stalls and the ‘Good Elf Pub’ selling local beers and cider, add to this great seasonal event.

Tickets are only available via www.fairylandtrust.org from 2nd September. Booking in advance is strongly recommended as spaces are limited. Tickets are priced at £10.00 for adults, £8.50 children and under 3’s free.(Vehicle parking £2)
